We walk it with you
In person, on site. We look at what is behind the finish work, not just in front of it, and we tell you what we find.
Three tradesmen, one shared frustration, and a straightforward idea about how a contractor ought to treat the people who hire them.
Between the three of us we have spent decades on Kansas City job sites — framing, finishing, wiring, tiling, and fixing what the last crew got wrong. Somewhere along the way we noticed that the complaint was almost never about the craftsmanship.
It was about the contractor who stopped answering the phone. The quote that grew by forty percent once the walls were open. The two-week job that sat untouched for a month because a better job came along. Homeowners were not asking for perfection. They were asking for someone to tell them the truth and then show up.
We did not start Pro Contractors because Kansas City needed more contractors. We started it because it needed contractors people could actually count on.
— Tyler, Curtis & ChadPro Contractors KC LLC was founded in 2021 on three rules we still run the business by. We walk the space before we quote it, so the number we give you is the number you pay. We tell you when something can wait, even when that means a smaller invoice for us. And we finish the job we started before we take the next one.
None of that is complicated. It is just uncommon enough that our clients notice — and it is why most of our work now comes from people who were referred by somebody we have already worked for.
About half our work is for homeowners: kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks, and the long list of smaller repairs that pile up in an older house. The other half is for investors and property owners who need turns done fast, done right, and done without being managed every step of the way.
Different clients, same standard. The house gets treated like somebody lives in it, because eventually somebody will.
The same process on a $400 repair and a $40,000 remodel.

Line by line, with what is included and what is not. If we are uncertain about something, it says so in writing.
Clean site at the end of every day, daily photo updates, and a call before we change anything that affects the price.
Punch list together, fixed before final payment. If something shows up later, we come back and take care of it.
Not a slogan. It is the thing we are willing to lose money over.
If a repair will get you five more years and a replacement is not worth it yet, we will say so. We would rather have the next four jobs than oversell this one.
Permits pulled, inspections passed, work done the way it is supposed to be done — including the parts that get covered up and nobody will ever see.
The single most common thing clients thank us for. It costs nothing and almost nobody does it, so we made it a rule.
Not a call center. These are the three you will be dealing with.
No pressure, no sales call afterward. We will look at it and tell you what we honestly think.
